Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 26, 2026
The Baughn Diggity Adventures ("we," "us," "our") is a family travel blog. We keep the information we collect to a minimum and we never sell it. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Newsletter signups. If you subscribe, we store your email address with our email provider so we can send you new posts. Nothing else.
- Contact form. If you message us, we receive the name, email, and message you submit so we can reply. We don't use it for anything else.
- Analytics. We use two analytics tools. Cloudflare Web Analytics is privacy-first and cookieless, reporting aggregate, non-identifying data (pages viewed, referrer, country, device type). We also use Google Analytics 4, which sets first-party cookies to measure visits, traffic sources, and which links people click. Google Analytics collects usage data (with IP addresses anonymized) and is subject to Google's privacy policy. We use it to understand what content and gear are useful, not to build advertising profiles.
Cookies & tracking
Google Analytics sets first-party analytics cookies (such as _ga) to count visits
and measure which links are clicked; we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Our Cloudflare analytics is cookieless. On our photo pages (trip reports and the parks guide)
we load Pinterest's "Save" button script, so on those pages your browser contacts Pinterest and
Pinterest may set its own cookies. See the policies below.
Service providers
We rely on a few trusted services to run the site:
- Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, cookieless analytics, and the Turnstile "are you human?" check on our forms (privacy policy).
- Google Analytics — measures site traffic and link clicks using first-party cookies (privacy policy).
- Resend — delivers our newsletter and contact emails and stores subscriber addresses (privacy policy).
- Pinterest — on our photo pages (trip reports and the parks guide) we load Pinterest's "Save" button script (pinit.js), so on those pages your browser contacts Pinterest and it may set its own cookies (privacy policy).
Affiliate links
Some links on this site are affiliate links, which may earn us a small commission at no extra cost to you. See our disclosure for details.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe any time using the link in any newsletter email.
- Access or delete your data — email us at stephen@theconsultingproject.com and we'll remove your address or contact-form message on request.
Children
This is a family blog, but it is written for adults planning trips and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site grows; we'll revise the "last updated" date above.
